About Me
I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico as an only child. I love to travel, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit over 30 countries. I'm currently a junior in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and I'm majoring in Public Relations. My interest in communications and public relations started around high school. I was looking for a dynamic and engaging field that encouraged building connections and storytelling. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in fields such as Financial PR, Investor Relations, Corporate PR, and Crisis Communication.
Interests
Community Service
Community Service is a passion of mine. I've volunteered in animal shelters, beach and rain forest cleaning, elderly homes, among other services. Apart from volunteering locally in Puerto Rico, I've been able to travel to different countries such as Colombia and the Dominican Republic to help those in need.
Summer
For seven years I attended Culver Summer Schools and Camps; a military preparatory school in Indiana. During my last three years, I was part of the naval school and marching band. Culver has been such an influential part of my life. This is a place where I learned and grew as a person following the five Culver pillars: leadership, self-discipline, honesty, cooperation, and consideration.
Sports
Growing up, I was a competitive gymnast. I was able to attend competitions across the United States and Puerto Rico. I've been a national champion twice in Puerto Rico and placed in the top ten in US competitions in Las Vegas and Houston.
Entertainment
I've always loved movies, TV shows, and watching the news. My senior year of High School I had the opportunity to intern at a political analyst show in Telemundo Puerto Rico. This internship incorporated two things that I'm passionate about: politics and news.
